In order to promote the unique sculpture of Luosishih stone of Ershui, Mr. and Mrs. Dong have been participating in various cultural exhibitions and relevant activities for the past 20 years. They opened “Dong Zuo's Art Gallery of Inkslabs” on Ershui Street in 1982. Later, due to the limitation of space, they moved to the current location. Luckily, the present floor area for exhibition is not only bigger but also equipped with better facilities for teaching sculpture of inkstone. It provides amateurs with a personal experience in the manufacturing process of inkslabs so as to train future sculptors and renew the cultural vitality of Ershui. So far, the art gallery has received recognition and support from art sectors at home and abroad. Therefore, it has attracted attentions of many famous artists in Taiwan , as well as many other inkstone lovers from Japan , United States of America , Republic of Korea , and South Eastern Asia to come and visit on a study tour. |

| Bearing in mind the need to feed back what they have gained from society, they implemented various training programs of inkslab-carving, in order to pass on the torch of local culture from generation to generation. The ultimate goal of these efforts is for Ershui's inkslab craftsmanship to excel and enjoy world-class glory. | |
Mr. Dong Zuo has two grand sons - Dong Jia-jing and Dong Jia-hao. We wish him well that “Dong Zuo's Art Gallery of Inkslabs ” can last forever and record in details Taiwan 's traditional art and culture of inkstone. |

Mr. Dong Zuo spared no effort in promoting the local culture of Ershui － Luosishih inkstone. He often acts as lecturer of an inkstones - making class. He already made more people recognize the specialty in Ershui by teaching them how to make an inkstone. Now many people, including foreigners are attracted by his carving arts. They simply appreciated the beauty of inkslabs. It's completely due to Dong zuo's meritorious service. |
